Moving on up?

I'm moving out of C-town soon, so I guess that is reason enough for the "cosmos" to send endless friends my way. I've haven't hung out with anyone for at least a month, then suddenly this week I made two new friends, (girls!), go figure, not to mention their friends they've introduced me to. All instant friends. I met one girl that is my age, then went out with her where I met the other girl. So friendly, nice, they give me hugs and it feels like I've known them forever.
Secondly, I get a text out of the blue today from a guy I sorted dated when he lived here. He's coming to visit in October; I haven't spoken to him in at least two months! I also met a guy that is from Eugene, Oregon, and I feel bad that I decided not to date cause I'm moving, but wow, he's cute, 29 years old, a fireman, and cute. Oh yeah, said that. There are a few other examples of friends calling me, etc., that I had to turn a few down just to have some alone time! (I know, I'm never satisfied.) So my gosh....I can't help but think...what changed? My attitude about what I am attracting because I'm happy I'm moving, and people are picking up on those feelings, or what?

The mysteries of nature

Guess what that cute little yellow flower is? Here's some hints...it turns red and roundish and it becomes edible produce! This plant is in a pot, on my patio, and I can't wait till they are ready to eat!

A peek at my free time...

Playing the guitar is turning out to be really soothing. It is the reason I come home from work; it's the reason I get up in the morning; it's the reason I have no social life. I know this may be an obsession, but I guess at the very least it's a healthy one. I can't forget the reason I have the guitar though, which is thanks to my mom. She gave it to me when I moved and I really have appreciated it. All those lonely days/nights have been filled with the sounds of sketchy singing and even sketchier-sounding guitar chords. It's lots of fun and I've gotten help from my bro' too. It's funny 'cause whenever I play to my friends, they seem really impressed. I think it's cute how nice they are to me about my playing, but I think they enjoy it too (deep down, waayy deep down)! Once I get a little better, I'll play for ya'all! Till then...I'll keep practicing.

Po-dunk crossword

Is there such a thing as a Po-Dunk crossword puzzle?
I don't think I've sat down and attempted to do a crossword for years, so I was flipping through the "local" C-town newspaper, (which happens to have about 20 pages in all), and had some time on my hands and decided to do the crossword. (I ain't that smart ya'all, but ya knows when it comes to these danged word games, I know a thangy or two)...or I thought I did! First of all, it was a real challenge to come up with words that are three letters or less. THREE LETTERS! Here's one of the hints: 21 across: Twain...3 letters...Anyone? My first thought was Mark (Twain). Nope, that's four letters! Okay, try another: 18 across: Church recess...4 letters...What church are they talking about? Aside from that, this is where I'm starting to feel really dumb. If this is Po-Dunk's idea of a joke, they really got one over on me! Like I said it's been yeeeaaarrrsss since I did a crossword. If any of you smart city folks have answers to those let me know. It's possible my brain has been sucked out by aliens...

Here's a couple more:
43 across: Title...4 letters
49 across: Get...4 letters
20 down: Stated...4 letters
41 down: Send forth...4 letters
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
